The R.C.Box switchboard was created to monitor the state of Shelters, such as: temperature, soot, open door alarm.
The R.C.Box is designed for monitoring some basic functions which pertain to telecommunication Shelters, and more generally, to equipment and systems in remote areas. The R.C.Box was developed to ensure maximum operational reliability, and in particular, circuital solutions were adopted which allow for galvanic isolation between interface circuits towards the field and those which are destined for communication towards the central unit.
Instead, the second scheme is dedicated to the specific application which is described hereinafter.
The switchboard acquires temperature values from 4 distinct probes and compares these values to two remotely set thresholds. When one of the four temperatures exceeds the minimum value, an exit route is activated which permits the activation of the Free Cooling system present in the Shelter. If the second threshold is exceeded, an alarm is activated and transmitted to the central unit. The central unit also receives status updates regarding the entryway to the shelter and the status on the smoke sensor present within the Shelter.
